The Cuban revolution was well-documented. Raúl Corrales Varela ( Corrales) played an important role in post-revolution photography in Cuba. The April 1961 invasion of the Bay of Pigs (Playa Giron) is the theme of his rare Cuban publication. The historical importance of the images obviously outweighs its technical shortcomings (the printing quality is quite poor). Add the fact that Cuban photo books are rare to find at all, especially first editions like this one, still makes this book an extremely collectable gem.
