Misha Kominek, Photocopies from Tokyo, 2014

Mylar envelope back and front

Misha Kominek’s publication Photocopies from Tokyo are pictures from his first Tokyo trip in 2012 and inspired by the images of Japanese masters such as Daido Moriyama and Takuma Nakahira. While taking an obvious bow to the great photographers who have wandered the streets of Tokyo, his work is unique in its presentation and style of editing. The book is printed with a laser printer on different papers and transparent foils and self-published in an edition of 100 copies. The edition number of the book is handwritten in bold black numerals on the front of the mylar envelope. A wonderful, modest publication very well-edited with great attention to detail.
