Anders Petersen, Cafe Lehmitz, Schirmer/Mosel, 1978

Cafe Lehmitz is an intimate and respectful record of Anders Petersen’s time in Hamburg’s Cafe Lehmitz in the 1970s. Published by Schirmer/Mosel in 1978, it quickly became a classic photography book and has been reprinted many times since. The cover image became widely known as it appeared on the Tom Waits album cover Rain Dogs (1985).
